Having debuted in 1998, you bet Nike’s Air Max Plus holds an eclectic catalogue of colourways, and in its younger years kept the streets fuelled with plenty of tonal gradient combos. Looking back at some of the Aussie-exclusive TN colourways of the early-2000s, some of the all-time greatest touched down in the form of the ‘Ashanti’ and ‘Chill Blue’. Currently, Nike has been focussing on the notorious TN’s niche iterations from 1999, dropping the ‘Rainbow’ in March, and now they’re set to release another in the form of ‘Celestine Blue’.

For TN heads who were around during the late-90s into the new millennium, you may remember these as ‘Petrol Blue’ made up of ‘Maui’, ‘Antarctica’ and ‘Apollo’ tones. The 2023 retro release still exudes the same aggressive vibe, however opts for ‘University Blue’, ‘Ice Blue’ and ‘Deep Royal’ hues. Boasting a full gradient mesh-clad upper and usual veins, the mudguard and Swoosh have been lightened for added contrast, alongside the white midsole.
