The Nike Air Max Plus Gets Ready to Bite in ‘Lemon Venom’

The Beaverton's has often been hailed as the disruptor of models. Dreamt up by Sean McDowell during the height of the brand's success in the late 90s, the unorthodox model combines an unlikely aesthetic influence with a trio of never-before-employed manufacturing techniques – for its time, at least. In keeping with their rebellious spirit, the Swoosh are expanding their catalogue with a new 'Lemon Venom' colourway, harnessing that serpentine energy to further challenge the norm.
The defining feature of this Air Max Plus is the orange-to-yellow gradient on the mesh upper. Dark navy (officially dubbed 'Blackened Blue') overlays cascade across the cage, mudguards and sole, enhancing the model's untamed appeal. Bursts of 'Hyper Crimson' highlight the midfoot and stowed Tuned Air units, while sleek Swoosh and Air Max branding grace the tongue, heel and lateral side walls.
To finish the look, the silhouette incorporates the same moody-coloured midsole and for added depth and texture, with red accents on the nylon tongue exterior providing a vibrant, wild finish to this bold colour palette.
The Nike Air Max Plus 'Lemon Venom' is expected to land later this year; keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for more updates.
