The Nike Air Max Plus Gets An Ultra Update
There's a new breed of Air Max Plus about to hit shelves. The mighty TN is the latest silhouette to undergo Nike's weight-reducing Ultra makeover. The most obvious change to hit the Max monster is to the sole unit, which has been cored out to remove excess foam and rubber – resulting in a significantly lighter ride. Look a little closer, however, and the changes are subtle but extensive. The signature Air Max jewel has been removed from the tongue, instead replaced with a stitched Swoosh tongue pull tag. A heel tag has also been introduced, while the Air Max Plus' most defining feature – its webbed TPU rubber cage – has been recreated with a more streamlined structure.
Five colourways have been revealed for the model's debut. The initial line-up includes a fetching blood red make-up, an apparent all-black version with a tonal cage and a recreation of the original 'Hyper Blue' – albeit with slight modification to the toe-cap and midsole.
No official release date has been revealed for the Air Max Plus Ultra, but we'll keep you posted soon as it's announced.
