We Need a Perfect Air Max 95 ‘Neon’ in 2025

Nike Air Max 95 Neon
Nike Air Max 95 'Neon' (2020)

The has always been a key figure in ever-growing catalogue of creps and has remained a staple for sneakerheads for almost thirty years. It’s never really left the shelves of stores and has taken part in a plethora of subcultures. Next year, Nike will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of their legendary model that touched down in 1995, and it’s already looking to be big. Recently, the decades-old silhouette has experienced a serious bump in popularity, thanks to megalithic colabs and celeb co-signs. While this is probably manufactured by the boffins at Beaverton ahead of 2025, we don’t mind, because the AM95 is a confirmed Sneaker Freaker favourite.

Ahead of anniversary celebrations next year, the rumour mill has begun churning, with a wide array of retro reissues and alleged colabs in the works for next year. UK rapper could have his own iteration on the way, is allegedly bringing back his 2006 heater, has a fourth AM95 in the works, put their luxe touch on the 30-year-old, and of course, we’re expecting the return of the OG ‘Neon’.

The ‘Neon’ was the colourway that helped introduce the Nike Air Max 95 to the world way back in 95 and has since been retroed a number of times. On-top of the countless remakes, there has been a plethora of reimagined variations such as the recent ‘Reverse Neon’ and the Kim Jones collaboration. In 2025, we’re expecting the OGs to return, and there’s been plenty of leaked word around what Nike is planning to do. According to Complex, Team Swoosh are actually taking the big bubble treatment that graced the Air Max 1 ’86 and will bless the 95 with a true-to-OG build. Word has also emerged from House of Heat that Nike will be releasing city-exclusive ‘Neon’ editions, with New York, London and Tokyo each receiving their very own iterations of the OG ‘Neons’. However, there’s no exact confirmation how exactly these pairs will be reinterpreted to match their respective cities. The last time we received a ‘Neon’ retro was in 2020, and before that was in 2018, so we’re ecstatic to receive the 2025 iteration and re-up our pairs.

There’s been no concrete information on the 2025 Nike Air Max 95 OG ‘Neon’ retro as of yet, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker to keep updated.

There's also a rumoured x Air Max 95 inter-brand collaboration, find out about it .
