Nike's Innovation Kitchen has been fiddling with the Air Max series for a couple of years, trying to get it fit for the winter. We've seen the higher cut SneakerBoots with materials designed to repel water, and more recently the lab has spawned the Nike Air Max 90 Winter. Staying truer to the OG shapes of its base model than previous chilly renditions, the winter vibes come mainly in the oustole, which is jagged and grippy as a caterpillar to stop you slipping through the sleet on the street. Adding to the wet weather pedigree, three of the models in this drop feature tough canvas and leather – strangely though, the dopest-looking one is constructed from lightish grey suede. That thang is gonna get filthy quickly, but at least you'll be fresh when you first step out. Stay with SF for release info. Pics via serial leakers US11.
