Nike’s Air Max 90 Brings the Thunder(storm)

The has been riding high as of late – making through its neck-cranking colabs and Independence Day-themed designs. But the momentum’s far from over. For its latest release, the Beaverton-based label is keeping the pressure on, debuting a new pair of kicks which lean into darker skies.
Nicknamed 'Thunderstorm', this forecast-themed edition toes the line between seasonal staple and bold reinterpretation. The palette aligns with the Swoosh's typical autumnal tones, with the titular colourway covering the upper with a marbled texture that captures some seriously moody energy. There's also subtle sculpted detailing throughout, allowing the model to retain its classic DNA through a futuristic lens.
Underfoot, a familiar setup grounds the design: the 'Obsidian' sole unit keeps things steady, while 'Glacier Ice' accents on the outsole cool things down. The moulded upper enhances both visual depth and structural integrity, while Nike’s signature Air cushioning ensures lasting comfort.
No confirmed release date yet for the Nike Air Max 90 'Thunderstorm' – but keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for more info as it comes in.
