The Nike Air Max 90 'Infrared' Returns in 2024 with GORE-TEX Upgrades

Update January 8, 2024: After months of build-up, the Nike Air Max 90 GORE-TEX ‘Infrared’ is finally dropping this week. The silhouette will be available at select stockists like Packer Shoes at its Teaneck location on January 11 at 11am EST for $160. As for Nike, the kicks are a member-only release, so be sure to sign up if you want to cop them.

The iconic ‘Infrared’ colourway was last retroed in 2020, but the 2024 rendition brings some major changes. A tighter mesh upper is used on the upper and gone are the suede overlays, replaced with leather. GORE-TEX lining is used to keep your feet dry from the elements, and the Nike Air Max tongue tag and TPU window are replaced with GORE-TEX branding. The midsole features an Air Max unit in the heel surrounded by an Infrared wedge, and the outsole features an Infrared pattern in the middle, which deviates from the traditional colour blocking of the outsole.
