Since 1995, grey and neon yellow has been Nike's signature scheme for new performance technology, but to let a design truly stand on its own two feet it must be able to survive in black and white. Here we have the latest entrant to the Air Max franchise, the Nike Air Max 2014 doing just that (save for a volt hit on the tongue – Nike just couldn't help themselves). A white Engineered Mesh sheath wraps a black underlay and a brooding full-length bubble steals the show. Damn, double cop right here, you're bound to get 'em pretty dirty pretty quick. Expect to see these monotone beauties rocking up at Nike retailers from January. You can scope more unseen Nike heat in Sneaker Freaker issue 29.
