Nike Air Max 180 'Bluebird' Flutters into 2025

Air Max 180 'Bluebird'

One can’t help but wonder if company letterhead has replaced ‘Just Do It’ in favour of ‘Just Vault It’. For sneakerheads who are tapped in, the strategy is clear – Nike are bringing back retro sneakers at an unprecedented rate and it seems the ‘nothing is off limits’ mentality is being embraced in Beaverton. Next on the Swoosh's return list is the Air Max 180 ‘Bluebird'.

Originally released in 1991, the Air Max 180 draws its name from its Air bubble, which is visible from 180 degrees. While the Air Max 180 has returned several times and its debut colourway released just last year in a one-on-one remake, the ‘Bluebird' has not been spotted since ‘91. But that changes in 2025. Appearing in that patented 90s pastel look, the ‘Bluebird’ boasts off-white suede overlays, white nylon, and eye-catching blue and green hits. The sneaker will come complete with the true-to-original ‘Nike Air’ branding on the heel and the ‘180 Air’ logo on the tongue.

No release details have been announced yet, but official retailer images just landed which suggests a release could be near. Check back for updates soon.
