The Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall BRS is a grail amongst many Swoosh fans, and for good reason. Produced in a limited run of 144 pairs as part of the ‘3 Decades of Cushioning’ series, the colourway paid homage to Nike’s origins as Blue Ribbon Sports, and hasn’t had a retro in 18 years. At least not a true one, as the Swoosh have brought the famed colourway back in the form of their Air Max 1 Slide.

Dressed in the same unmistakable hues of brown, green and grey, as well as pops of pink, the slide version of the sneaker is an interesting reinterpretation of the fan-fave pair. While we’ve seen the AM1 Slide drop in OG colourways, it's interesting to see the Swoosh branch out into other iconic variations, and it's anyone’s guess as to which pairs will be next in line for the treatment. While Air Max 1 colourblocking is immediately evident from the slide’s upper, the summer-ready style also features a faithfully reproduced sole unit, complete with Air bubble.

While we may have to wait a little longer for the Air Max 1 Powerwall BRS to return to its true glory, the slide version is available to buy now at Atmos. And for those who really want to get their hands on the sneaker, rumour has it that it may return in Big Bubble form next year.
