The Nike Air Max 1 ‘Safari’ no doubt belongs in the pantheon of the all-time greatest sneakers. A wildlife-inspired design originally introduced via the Nike Air Safari in 1987, the legendary print later made its way to several Swoosh silhouettes, including the Air Max 1 in 2009. Another Tinker Hatfield homerun, the print covered the mudguard, toe box and heel panel and has been reimagined time and time again.

The latest overhaul is the Nike Air Max 1 Safari ‘Summit White’, a model arriving as part of Nike’s Spring 2023 lineup. Manufactured with a classic mix of tumbled leather and mesh, the pale visuals feature ‘Summit White’, ‘Phantom’, ‘Sail’, ‘Photon Dust’, ‘Light Smoke Grey’, and ‘Cobalt Bliss’.
