Ride the Night Mare With Nike's Air Force 1 Low 'Black Pony Hair'

Like a Madonna of the foot, the has a knack for reinventing itself – it's why the silhouette can go from to to within the space of a couple months. Four weeks ago we got a look-in at the , and now have smashed 'Invert' to present a fully blacked-out colourway in the same hirsute build.
PSA: No ponies were harmed in the making of these models. Faux pony hair is an engineered textile created from recycled polyester and blended fibres. Nike's wizards use their powers to turn the synthetic hairs into a finish which imitates the flowing nap and matte sheen of real equine hide, while delivering advantages like durability, easier maintenance, and, y'know – no dead ponies.
The 'Black Pony Hair' AF-1 is a luxe affair, Nike having given deliberate consideration to the directional grain of each panel. The contrasts in orientation between the base, overlays and Swoosh give a real sense of that 'night mare' movement, as their soft shine hits differently from various angles. The model's classic features of Air cushioning, perforated toe box and branded dubrae are all in place.
The Nike Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Black Pony Hair' will retail for $135 and is slated to exit Nike's webstore stable in Summer 2025.
