Nike Unleash the Air Diamond Turf 'Proto 92'

The are digging deeper into back catalogue, and not just for nostalgia’s sake. While Prime Time recently called his signature line the strongest in Beaverton outside of Jordan’s, Nike’s latest move adds weight to the claim with the release of the 'Proto 92'.

The tinkered build is a fresh take on a classic, inspired by early sample designs that never made it to shelves back in the day. Zooming in on the details, the gridiron retro switches things up with a Swoosh placed on the midfoot and a slightly reworked shape, offering a new look while still staying true to the original design. Furthermore, the colourway goes heavy on the Atlanta influence, with a jet-black suede upper and bold 'Fire Red' hits around the collar.

With more colourways on the way, the Air Diamond Turf is shaping up to be more than just a one-off revival. In addition to the aforementioned release, the Swoosh is already lining up an additional contrasting white edition, that holds on to the 'White/Black/Red Split' of the 'Falcons' origins.
