While we’ve been inundated with an abundance of retro resurrections over the past few years, archive is still full of secret stashes that are yet to be unearthed. Beaverton’s subdivision especially has a plethora of bangers that are worthy of a modern day comeback, with one being the ACG Phassad.
Industry insiders have told that the ACG Phassad is primed for a retro. While Nike themselves remain tight-lipped on leaks, the source has said that you should expect a release around the back half of 2025. Currently there is no early imagery of what the new variation is set to look like, but an OG pair is pictured below.

The Nike ACG Phassad originally launched in 2002 and was designed by Scott Portzline, a Nike veteran who designed some Shox and Air Max models. Portzline then went on to work at companies such as Merrell, Canada Goose and Columbia. Speaking to about the Phassad, Portzline said: ‘The goal was to protect against water, yet shy away from the current look of overbuilt, fully waterproof footwear. When I researched the most progressive lightweight, protective advancements over the past ten years, tent design was something that struck out. These awesome architectural solutions seem to be made out of nothing, yet they keep you comfortable and pack down so effortlessly that carrying one is no longer deemed a commitment.’
