Nigel Cabourn X Converse First String Collection
British designer Nigel Cabourn has created a Converse collection that would fit right in on the set of M*A*S*H... or a real battlefront for that matter. Cabourn applied Ventile fabric, which was used in World War II flight suits to protect pilots who ejected themselves from their planes to land in freezing water, to the upper of two Converse hybrid silhouettes. The Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey will release this Thursday and features raised stripes on the rubber foxing, while the Chuck Taylor Specialty Plimsole combines a 1941 British P.E. training shoe with vintage Converse detailing and Italian denim will be available June 14. Pick up the collection from End Clothing in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Concepts in Boston, and Tenue de Nimes in Amsterdam. Pics via Nike, Inc.
UPDATE: Both colourways of the Nigel Carbourn x Converse Bosey Hi are available right now over at Kith.
