Nice Kicks Dollop ‘Black Sesame’ Onto the ASICS GEL-Lyte III
Retailer have linked up with again on another food-inspired rendition of the . This time, the popular Japanese ice cream flavour of ‘Black Sesame’ adds a subtly sweet touch to the split-tongued sneaker.
The upper of these GL3s sees fuzzy grey suede overlays and perforated inserts, replicating the fluffy texture of the ice cream and its ashy colouring. This appearance is further referenced on the speckled midsole accent. Light green laces reference the mint leaf garnish often placed atop the dessert. The ankle collar and tongue see a blue and white traditional pattern often found on ‘sometsuke’ bowls that the ice cream is served in. A custom swing tag depicting a bowl of the namesake black sesame ice cream garnished with mint in a blue and white bowl is included with the shoes.
