New Balance Retro the Limited Edition 1700!
The is an underrated heavyweight in the running archive but, thankfully, Japanese sneakerheads have maintained its cult status. Now, they’ll have an opportunity to re-up the OG grey colourway with a few special tweaks.
Usually Made in USA, this edition is an Asian-made variant, but it doesn’t skimp on any of the important details. The ABZORB sole tech remains, and so does the plush grey leather and suede upper combo. But to make this release extra special, the heel embroidery receives a gold ‘LIMITED EDITION’ moniker, plus an extra ‘New Balance Japan’ spell-out. Even the midfoot N logos are edged with gold for extra bling.
They’re out now from Japanese retailers like mita sneakers, but hopefully there is also international release on the way.
