New Balance are about to release a Kawhi rendition that celebrates the iconic buzzer beater made by the shoe’s namesake in last year’s Playoffs. Dubbed the ‘4 Bounces’ colourway, the design references the legendary moment when Kawhi Leonard secured victory against the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

The notoriously low-profile star has added a few personal touches to the design, including callouts to his home town and his favourite car, and the end result features black, gold, blue and white, while an icy outsole completes the aesthetic. Technically the ‘4 Bounces’ moniker could relate to the four bounces he took after receiving the in-bound pass, or the painstaking four bounces the ball took on the ring before eventually dropping in. Of maybe it’s celebrating both?

Like many of Kawhi’s recent NB drops, this on-court edition is part of a pack that features an  850 for the post-game, and a pair of super comfy slides if you really want to take it easy.

The pack is bouncing into stores on August 20, and you can sign up now for the email by heading to New Balance.
