New Balance Brew Coffee-Roasted 991
are continuing their strong momentum into 2021, the legendary label having a seismic year in 2020.
Recently tapped by the Amsterdam-based , the is still a cult classic of the 99x vault, the perennial silhouette recently celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The latest New Balance silhouette is now taking cues from freshly-roasted coffee, the uppers brewed in a mix of brown suedes.
On the toe box, mudguards and tongue, a cappuccino brown is rendered in suede. To complement, a rich hazelnut appears on the heel, while khaki is adopted on the midfoot overlays and eyestays. Navy blue mesh presents visual and material hierarchy to the design.
Subtle additions of hi-vis reflective silver add some iridescent stylings to the colourway, while classic 991 branding appears on the heel and tongue. A ‘Made in England’ tag with the Union Jack emphasises the proud manufacturing history of the 991.
The New Balance 991 is available now from Aphrodite. The retail price is $232.
