Last month was a heck of a stretch for the New Balance 991. Collaborations with Stray Rats and Run the Boroughs were revealed, and a dapper houndstooth colourway made some noise, among other goings-on. Now, as the Made in UK silhouette continues to celebrate the final months of its 20th anniversary, it's set to release in a gentlemanly brown and navy style.

Lovingly crafted at New Balance's Flimby, UK factory – which also builds models like the Epic-Tr, 920 and 1500 – this two-toned shoe offers a mixture of refined suede and sporty mesh. The former is largely done up in brown, while the latter takes on navy shades, but both contribute to the design's overall air of elegance and autumnal palette.

These two tones are split by grey accents, and a two-tone midsole stuffed with navy blue ABZORB foam cushioning works with thick insoles to provide stability and comfort in equal measure. Grey and blue branded embellishments on the midfoot, heel and tongue round off the look.

Interested parties can expect this 991 to release at retailers like Asphaltgold come October 16. Their MSRP will be set at 209.
