The New Balance 991 Continues to Impress
The reinvigorated is still a favourite among NB heads the world over. Whilst collaborations have been de rigueur for the model in recent months (the 991 has been tapped by everyone from to ), the Boston-based label are also introducing some mighty fine in-house colourways.
First introduced in 2001, the latest 991 comes manufactured in a lightweight mesh base and lattice of pebbled grey leather overlays. Lush pink suede provides material depth from toe to heel, while embroidered leather tags are stitched on the tongues. Signature ‘N’ iconography is installed on the laterals, while the specific model (991) is stamped on the heels. Of course, the presence of ENCAP midsoles provides technological nous.
