Fresh From Flimby: New MADE in UK New Balance 991s and 920s

It's the 1st of tha month (word to Bone Thugs N Harmony) and New Balance are kickin' July off right with a fresh set of MADE in UK drops straight from their famed Flimby factory. Several styles hit their webstore this morning, and the highlights of the offerings are two iterations of the 991 and two takes on the 920.

The 991, a Flimby staple since it was introduced as the M991 back in 2001, has arrived in 'Green/Grey/Tan' and 'Grey/Black/Green' colourways. The former mixes mossy green suede with sharp grey mesh, all above a two-tone midsole with tan ABZORB cushioning details. Frankly, it looks like it could be an Aimé Leon Dore colab! The other pair is referred to as a 'Selected Edition.' It offers up a veritable medley of colours and materials, from aqua blue and brown suede to a black synthetic midfoot with a carbon fibre print.

Meanwhile, the 920s supply crisp, clean and classic Flimby style. A 'Charcoal/Grey/White' colourway takes New Balance's timless all-grey palette and darkens it a few shades for a stark look, and the 'Off White/White/Black' serves up a sporty, light colour scheme that's accented by pops of rich black and navy suede. Under these premium, richly-detailed uppers sit midsoles taken directly from the 990v3.
