The Grey New Balance 9060 Is an Instant Classic

While still relying heavily on archive silhouettes like the 550 and 2002R, New Balance have also focused on newer models – and the bulky 9060 is leading the pack. With its design pulling from both old and new models, it looks to the 99X series for the upper and an appropriated 860v2 sole unit. First debuted in 2022, only a select few colourways have touched down, including a ’ Black/Castlerock’ edition. Their next combo goes back to their roots with iconic grey-on-grey, and it’s an instant classic!

New Balance is synonymous with grey, having dressed all their models in the muted tone for as long as the brand’s been active – so it makes sense that the NB9060 is next up. The material mix is stock standard, with the upper boasting a light grey full-mesh base layer further complemented by the darker-toned suede and textile fabric. A metallic ’N’ logo remains on the lateral with the signature embroidered branding along the medial. Down below is the gargantuan midsole, which chooses a two-tone cream and stark white.
