The New Balance 610 is slowly but surely picking up pace in the sneakersphere. While the heritage brand have a lot of heat on the market right now, particularly with recently created models like the chunky 9060 and 1906 becoming a popular choice across global rotations, there’s a lot to choose from. Now, the New Balance 610 is also back from the past after first being introduced to the world in 2012. Given that the 610 was originally a hiking sneaker loosely modelled on Y2K-era performance shoes, it’s no surprise that it’s part of the Lifestyle offering in today’s climate.

Already available in more than five colourways, we’ve seen a ‘Beef and Broccoli’ rendition and other GRs in classic grey. It’s also been the centre of several collaborations, most recently with Bodega, Joe Freshgoods, and artist Aminé even has a pair in the works known as ‘The Mooz’. The latest GR’ Castlerock/Varsity Gold’ colourway sees the dark grey hue cover the uppers, met with black mesh underlays. ‘Varsity Gold’ strikes the midsoles, N logo branding, eyestays, laces and pull tabs.

The New Balance 610v1 ‘Castlerock/Varsity Gold’ is currently available now directly via New Balance with sizes starting at US 4 through to US 16.
