It’s the 580’s turn to take centre stage! Ever since late last year, it became apparent that New Balance were gearing up to reignite the 2000s silhouette. And what better way to do that than with a collaboration? Kickstarting the revival, NB teamed up with Palace, and two collaborative takes on the model were released featuring hues of ‘Lapis Blue’, ‘Neutral Gargoyle’, ‘Pansy Violet’ and ‘Deep Shaded Spruce’. Not long after that, another collaboration popped up from Stray Rats, who also dropped a duo of pairs that harked back to 2007 – the year the model was officially available in the US after being a Japanese exclusive for over a decade.

Following suit was a series of GR creations, including a ‘Beef and Broccoli’ rendition and even these flipped makeups of the ‘Real Mad Stussy’ pairs. Next, the most pared-back of the bunch features white uppers, green detailing and cream midsoles. Finally, the outsoles come pre-scuffed for that faux-vintage feel.

The New Balance 580RCA drops on February 18 at select retailers.
