New Balance Revive the 580 with OG Rollbar!
The is set to make a glorious return in its OG navy format, complete with catalogue-correct Rollbar hardware. Having already reentered the sneakersphere via the colourful Stray Rats collaboration, this relatively restrained edition still has plenty of pizzazz for sneakerheads new and old to appreciate.
Also commonly known as the MT580, this model was originally highly collectible in Asia due to its exclusive status, especially with many colourways and collaborations being available in Japan only. Many of those were more lifestyle-leaning with their material and palette choices, while this OG remake nods more to the performance intentions of the model. It’s evident in the suede and mesh combination, plus the stately navy colourway. The midsoles are plain, save for the grey Rollbar feature, which is used to control pronation. It’s a simple and clean execution that speaks to NB’s understated executions.
The New Balance 580 in navy will be available from November 12.
