The New Balance 550 Shines in JD Sports-Exclusive Colourways
The has enjoyed a jaw-dropping resurgence in recent years. A long-forgotten 1980s hooper, the Boston label’s heritage silhouette has captivated sneakerheads the world over, with high-end collaborations and solid in-line colourways maintaining the hype since its relaunch in 2020.
The latest duo of colourways involve classic sneaker palettes that have stomped streets, blacktops and hardwood for years, making the ‘White University Blue’ and white/black renditions perfect for a mountain of styling options.
Exclusive to , both colourways feature the stellar design hallmarks that have made the NB550 so successful. The low profile design is given durability with padded tongues and cuffs, while signature New Balance branding extends the vintage, late 1980s vernacular. Manufactured with leather, synthetic and mesh uppers, the modernised rubber outsoles provide ample traction and durability.
A key protagonist in the sneakersphere in 2022, the women’s New Balance 550 ‘White University Blue’ arrives exclusively at on August 25. The white and black colourway will follow over the coming weeks.
