New Balance Bolster the 327 'Winter Athletics' with Cordura Uppers
The is an appealing anomaly: a sleek, slim sneaker inspired by 1970s running shoes that's given heft by its boldly-shaped midsole and the nubbed traction pattern on its outsole that creeps to the upper. Because of its trim look and often-bright colour schemes, many New Balance fans view the 327 as a warm-weather sneaker. Now, however, is aiming to show it's a year-round option with an aptly-titled 'Winter Athletics' makeup.
Featuring a 'Moonbeam/Madras Orange' colour scheme that combines a neutral base with black forefoot detailing, a chilly blue midfoot logo and an eponymous orange heel, the 'Winter Athletics' looks like a standard 327 at first glance. However, it features a special Cordura fabric construction (acknowledged by a small tag on the heel) that enables it to offer a more hard-wearing fit and feel than the standard leather or mesh that its counterparts are made of.
If you want a New Balance 327 that you can put through the wringer, the 'Winter Athletics' is available now via HBX. It's priced at $119.
