This particular silhouette is actually based off of the legendary collaboration, but has now been reworked en masse. Following plenty of teasers, the New Balance 204L was officially debuted alongside their latest member, Rosalía!
‘When designing the 204L, we knew we wanted to offer a versatile, sleek sneaker while producing something new and fresh,’ said Pierome Sar, senior designer at New Balance, in a press release. ‘It was a true collaborative effort working alongside our product manager, developer, and team of designers to bring this model to life. The shoe is designed to stand out from other New Balance models with this convergence of two different eras, set to be released in unique materials and colourways.’
Boasting a distinct 2000s running aura, the NB204L is a welcomed low profile addition to New Balance’s ever-growing catalogue. Two monochrome colourways have emerged, both exuding an opulent feel and each dressed in a full-suede upper with some leather and synthetic hints. Down below, the outsole is minimal, further complemented by a sharp toe structure.
You can expect both these New Balance 204Ls to land on July 30 via the usual New Balance brick-and-mortar and online channels.
