Another New Balance 1906L Has Arrived

After being showcased at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year in collaboration with Junya Watanabe, the New Balance 1906L loafer has now surfaced in a striking green. This one appears to be dropping as an NB general release though, as there’s no collaborative branding like the inaugural black iteration. It’s good news for those digging the 1906R-turned-loafer design, as it means we could be seeing more of its kind come from the Boston brand.

While the Junya Watanabe has a full leather construction, this one stays more true to the 1906R upper, as it is constructed in the same mesh structure. It features a small silver N on the top, adding a nice lifestyle touch to the otherwise sporty design. It does maintain the essential N-Ergy midsole tech though, which provides it with the 1906R’s signature comfort and performance attributes. The 1906R has been having its moment since its reboot in 2022, with powerhouse collaborations fuelling the silhouette’s success, so it’s no surprise to see the model re-purposed.
