New Balance Split the Grey Days Clouds With a Slate-Blue 1500 Made In UK

We're halfway through annual fiesta, wherein the brand spends a whole month celebrating its signature colour. While the smoky drops are arriving in , NB have allowed a parting of the clouds for a slate-blue release of the 1500 Made In UK model.
The New Balance 1500 Made In UK sneaker was originally released in 1989, and marked the beginning of a fresh line created solely at New Balance's UK factory in Flimby, Cumbria. Sporting the classic ENCAP midsole alongside uppers comprising pigsuede and mesh, the design is lauded as an undying classic.
While the colour is right there in the title, the 'Ashley Blue' doesn't overdo the sunshine. Hits of white on the base-layer mesh, ankle, tongue and midsole ensure the slate-blue upper keeps its cool, while the snowy embroidered NB logo – and '1500' on the lateral side – give subtle texture and pop. A splash of navy on the quarter overlay grounds the palette.
The outsole is where the clouds close again, with a deep grey, navy and black scheme rounding things out.
The new 1500 Made in UK colourway is available to cop right now for $240.
