The New Balance 1500 Celebrates 35 Years
Despite a quiet last few years, the still remains a legend in the sneakersphere, and many fondly remember the days of NB1500 domination. Nowadays, the is somewhat of a relic from a bygone era, and we rarely see any hype surrounding new colourways when they drop. But there’s sure to be some heads who will be helping the perennial model celebrate its 35th anniversary, with New Balance launching a classic grey colourway that’s MADE in UK.
This limited MADE in UK iteration will also launch a few years after the UK-based program celebrated its 40th anniversary, and it will come kitted with all the usual bells and whistles we’ve come to expect. Inspired by New Balance’s long running heritage and the 35-year-old 1500, the uppers are ensconced in a tonal grey. Most of the shoe has been constructed with premium nubuck, with additional mesh and synthetic fabrics. Additional celebratory details come through on the insole and box sleeve, hosting graphics commemorating ’35 years of excellence’.
You can expect the MADE in UK New Balance 1500 to launch in limited numbers through New Balance UK's channels on April 4.
