Exclusive! The Naruto x ASICS GEL-NYC Is Dropping Again

Over the years, it’s been made clear there’s a massive crossover in fanbase between anime and sneakers, with brands doubling down in collaborations with popular franchises. This year, Yu-Gi-Oh! and adidas announced their joint venture, causing mass hysteria among the millennial fanbase of the iconic series. Now, ASICS are next, linking with the Naruto Shippuden franchise to craft a fresh GEL-NYC.

This particular pair has been inspired by the Pain Arc, one of the series' most important plot lines. This sneaker has been particularly influenced by the Leaf Village ninja’s signature ‘Sage Mode’, and it has been customised with specialised details like the lace lock looking like a scroll, the Konoha emblem on the dubrae, and the Uzamaki clan logo on the tongue.

The Naruto Shippuden x ASICS GEL-NYC will land at Courir on December 11.
