Murakami Links up with Porter for Wild Sneaker Colab

Takashi Murakami continues to indulge his playful streak, today revealing a wild custom build via his instagram account.

The asymmetrical sneaker, complete with adjustable velcro straps, miniature bag compartments and Murakami’s signature branding (including flowers and TM/KK branding), the silhouette utilises some of Porter's famed material builds, running a mixed material construction with smooth ripstop nylon weave.

Masters of Japanese luggage and accessories, Porter continues to collaborate with artists and creatives from their headquarters in Tokyo. Tapping Murakami is surely their most high-profile link up yet, the Japanese artist continuing to offer his take on sneakers and street culture more broadly.
