MTA Team Up with New Balance to Create a DSM-Exclusive 920Release: 8 May 2021
In the middle of 2020, New Balance debuted a brand new silhouette dubbed the 920, and it came out of the gates with guns blazing via collaborations with both Sneakersnstuff and Patta, plus a bunch of heater general release colourways. So, we were excited to see what was next. Finally, another colab is here and it’s with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), while Patta’s own Lee Stuart has provided the creative direction for the epic campaign sitting alongside it.
This officially licensed MTA x New Balance 920 colab is a shoe that spans multiple timezones, having been made in the UK and then worn in and inspired by the streets of New York. It provides a connection between the two cultural hubs.
The makeup represents New Balance to the fullest, with the NY subway as another inspiration point, boasting a full grey tone that covers the silhouette. The materials used include mesh and suede with reflective details and MTA’s logo adorning the heel.
These Metropolitan Transportation Authority x New Balance 920s have been locked in to drop on May 8 exclusively at the London, Ginza, New York, LA and Singapore Dover Street Market Locations.
