Brooklyn-based creative studio MSCHF are known for creating plenty of hullaballoo around their sneaker releases. They’ve been the masterminds behind the ‘Satan Shoe’ and, more recently, the ‘Wavy Baby’, which caused both praise and uproar.

Never far from a lawsuit, MSCHF have just revealed their latest – dubbed Air Cast 1 (AC1). Interestingly, it looks like a hospital cast (aka moon boot) and has a staggering RRP of $450! The AC1 houses a removable neoprene bootie to secure your foot alongside a plastic cage and inflatable pump-action tech. MSCHF rounds things off with their branding scattered throughout. Starring in the lookbook is streetwear legend Bloody Osiris, looking decidedly jarring in the double-cast combo.

The MSCHF AC1 will release via their webstore on October 19 at 2:00 pm EST, with a wider drop to follow later this year.

This won’t be the first time a cast has made the rounds in the sneakersphere! Riccardo Tisci and Nike infamously created this back in 2015.
