Mizuno’s ‘Desert Meditation’ Pack is Muted Perfection
It looks like are throwing down the gauntlet and making a serious lifestyle play with moodboard-friendly reworks of their performance oriented models. This is the ‘Desert Meditation’ pack that reintroduces the 10, Wave Mujin TL and LS in sandy shades of suede and mesh.
The Wave Rider 10 has been a prominent member of Mizuno’s comeback and also acts as an entry point into the brand’s more modern offering. Its generous number of panels also allows for a mixture of materials to emphasise the ‘Desert Meditation’ theme, as different textures of suede and mesh can be observed.
The Wave Mujin TL is named after longtime brand designer Tuan Le, who specs this latest outdoors-adjacent model with grippy rubber tread from tire manufacturer Michelin. Its rugged stitching and suede construction perhaps is the purest representation of the pack name, plus is probably the most technically suited for the terrain.
Closing out the trio is the Wave Prophecy LS, which is among Mizuno’s most eye catching designs due to its Infinity Wave midsole and technical upper. The gaps in the midsole are made up for by the textural depth of the upper and on-foot comfort.
