The New Balance MT580 Gets Gorpy with mita sneakers and MARQUEEPLAYER

first opened their doors in 1996 and almost 30 years later, they’re still as strong as ever. Now, the Japanese retailer are linking up with sneaker care brand MARQUEEPLAYER and on a weatherproof take of the , which is set to drop later this week.

mita are no strangers to the New Balance MT580, as they've collaborated on the sneaker multiple times, most recently in 2023 with the help of MASTERPIECE SOUND and Hombre Niño. For this iteration, the typical leather and/or suede is replaced with a mesh and GORE-TEX lined upper in different shades of blue. A diamond pattern inspired by chainlink fences covers the majority of the upper with the N logo seen on the quarter panel and GORE-TEX branding stamped on the lateral heel. The branding on the tongue is inspired by MARQUEEPLAYER’s label on their sneaker cleaning products with a lace toggle setup used for ease of access. The navy mudguard features speckles throughout that look to be glow-in-the-dark, with a rugged and chunky Vibram outsole finishing off the sneaker.
