mita Just Made a Hybrid ASICS GEL-LYTE III and V

There aren’t many sneaker stores that can celebrate 35th anniversary with authority quite like !
For a decade now the Japanese legends have linked with their fellow countrymen for countless collaborations. They’ve always favoured the franchise, particularly the III and , with both pairs part of their long-running ‘Trico’ series. For their latest, they’ve merged their two favourites for a hodgepodge hybrid that’s definitely pricked up our ears.
The new model has been dubbed the GEL-LYTE ∞, and was finally completed this year after three years in development. The shoe's name was inspired by the number ‘8’ – the sum of III and V (obviously!) – with the new build taking on parts of both models alongside elements from mita’s many ASICS colabs. The silhouette's upper pulls mostly from the GLIII – until you reach the tongue, panelling and midsole, which are quintessentially GLV. The most obvious hybrid element is the tongue, which presents the GLIII's split version sitting atop the sock-like GLV tongue.
