Is The Mighty Air Max 98 'Gundam' Returning?

Anyone who’s been paying attention recently will know just how much love an anniversary. This year we’ve seen plenty of special re-releases, so it’s only natural to assume that next year, 2018, will play host to a bundle of . The design had a little bit of time in the limelight recently, thanks to the streetwear golden handshake that is a Supreme colab, so it would seem that the planets are aligning in the silhouette's favour.

It’s always hard to be certain of the validity of a retro colourway when pics pop up online; given that the shoe already exists, who’s to say that the picture you’re looking at is a new one? But it’s a much stronger case when a couple seem to appear at the same time and we’re willing to bet that this one’s on the straight and narrow. According to Air Max aficionados, the OG ‘Gundam’ Air Max 98 is making it’s way back into our lives as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations in the coming months. You can bet it’ll be a scramble to secure a pair of the coveted colourway – let’s just hope the Swoosh crank out a decent number.
