Drop Details: Matthew M Williams x Nike Zoom MMW 4 'Baroque Brown'

Matthew M Williams and Nike are prepared to release the latest colourway of their Zoom MMW4 – an earthy 'Baroque Brown' style. Williams, the founder of 1017 ALYX 9SM and the current creative director at Givenchy, has been staying busy this holiday season: the 'Baroque Brown' release is arriving just a few weeks after every colourway of the 1017 ALYX 9SM x Nike Air Force 1 High restocked.

The Zoom MMW 4 offers a Mad Max-esque look with sharp angles, elongated detailing and advanced visible tech. Quite unlike the vibrant palette used on the Zoom MMW 4 'Rust Factor' – the last release from Williams and Nike – the 'Baroque Brown' opts to coat itself in earthy brown shades and jet black embellishments, letting its unique tooling do most of the talking. Double-stacked midsoles extend well beyond the mesh upper's toe and heel, and make the most of their enhanced space by displaying springy Pebax plates in the heel plus exposed Zoom Air units in the forefoot, a la the Nike ISPA Road Warrior. It's not all futuristic though, as classic Nike waffle traction patterns are used on the outsole.
