Matthew M Williams Delivers a Brutalist Running Shoe: the Nike TRD Run 6

Matthew M Williams is well versed in delivering hyper-modern and brutalist sneaker designs, and the latest is no exception. Teased as part of his MMW x Nike Yoga collection, the TRD Run 6 comes in a fitting triple black configuration.

The running shoe takes on similar features to Nike's Alphafly NEXT% family, with a breathable and flexible mesh upper complemented by large midsoles that provide superior cushioning for runners. The TRD Run 6 also takes on the split sole with the air unit tucked into the front section, but the gap between the front and back soles does appear to be larger on the MMW runner. Two defining features from the Alphafly 2 that might carry over to this new model include a full-length carbon-fibre plate that delivers a forward-propelling motion and the responsive ZoomX foam.
