Matthew M Williams Debuts His First Givenchy Sneaker
of fame has only been at the helm of for a short while now, but he’s already creating a buzz with collections that have received critical acclaim. Are we surprised? We can’t say we are, because the designer never ceases to amaze, especially in the sneaker space. After a stint with Nike, he’s made his mark on the world of footwear and shown his potential. For Givenchy, he’s decided to go subtle and has debut three colourways of the brand new Giv 1.
Exuding luxury, Williams has gone for a minimalist upper, with premium materials and a slightly chunky outsole down below. One colourway features mostly off-white with a green midsole down below, while another boasts all black. These first two use a mesh base with clean leather overlays. The third colourway, which is completely black, turns the luxe up to a 11 with crocodile skin allover, and a blacked-out midsole down below. All three pairs go subtle with the Givenchy branding, featuring a monogram along the midsole, and typed logo on the toe cap.
