Mariah Duran and Jenn Soto Pair Up the adidas Skateboarding Superstar ADV
Skateboarders Mariah Duran and Jenn Soto have each given their blessing to special edition ADVs. They’ve added elements of their personalities to make these skate-ready Shelltoes truly unique.
Duran’s take contains playful deviations to a pure white leather base, applying star perforations between reflective stripe branding. Cactus embroidery on the heel nods to her New Mexico home, and the aqua shade is matched to the insole. Not to be overlooked, gold stamped branding brings a classic adi touch.
Additionally, the Soto Superstar explores a celestial theme, modifying the midfoot perforations with custom crescent moon shapes, paired to the heel tab graphics. The ‘Fly Past The Moon’ mirrors Soto’s distinct neck tattoo and, like Duran’s homage to home, the insoles depict the NYC skyline, harking back to her New Jersey origins. This is all set against a tough black leather base, also with reflective hits.
They’re not just pretty sneakers, either – performance adiPrene insoles and sticky rubber soles mean these are made for skate.
