Maison Margiela Evoke the ‘Memory Of’ the Reebok Instapump Fury

Maison Margiela’s ongoing collaborative partnership with Reebok has spawned quite a number of subversive remakes of the Vector brand’s icons. The latest Margiela muse is the Instapump Fury, which has been treated to the ‘Memory Of’ modification that sees panel edges lifted out of their nesting place, missing stitching, and even a dramatic toe box peephole created from peeled-back material.

The concept is especially noticeable on these OG colourways, as the overlay panels are lit up in shades of ‘Citron’ and ‘Echo Blue’ across two pairs. Besides the slight pattern modifications, the materials are true to the mid-1990s period they were born in, with generous lashings of mesh down the vamp and toe box surrounded by the external nylon Instapump bladder system. Catalogue specifications, including large pull tabs and carbon fibre arch shanks, are also reprised.

The Maison Margiela x Reebok Instapump Fury ‘Memory Of’ will release on October 21.
