National Pizza Day is Celebrated on This Custom New Balance 57/40
New York-native custom sneaker artist and designer has officially made his ultimate salute to National Pizza Day, with a special in partnership with and Foot Locker, and his own brand Mache.
And if you're salivating right now, that's totally understandable, because the creation has absolutely nailed the brief. The white, mesh uppers are topped off with brown suede to represent the crust as well as cheese, while the red hits on the tongue and heel tabs call out tomato sauce. Green then nods to various herbs that can be found on top! Finally, red checkered tablecloth fabric finds its way onto the tongue label. Inside the shoe, you'll find Mache's logo and wait for it... the toppings!
Gamache stated on the design, 'Being from New York and living in Connecticut, I’ve been blessed to experience the best pizza both states have to offer. My love for pizza, and the age-old debate on who has the best slice, serve as the inspiration behind my latest collaboration with New Balance. I’m excited to deliver this at Foot Locker and Champs Sports in time for National Pizza Day.'
The Mache x New Balance 57/40 is set to exclusively release at Foot Locker and Champs Sports on February 11.
