LQQK Studio and Reebok Celebrate Screen Printing Using the Classic Leather
Brooklyn-based design collective LQQK Studio have linked up with , using the to express their distinct vision of pattern production through screen-printing techniques. The collaboration sees two takes on the model, with one of them releasing exclusively via LQQK at a pop-up event.
Despite the model being known as the Classic Leather, this collaboration substitutes in textile uppers that best express the screen-print technique. The leaf print camouflage patterns are unique in Bubble Gum/Pine Green and Wild Brown/Bright Ochre combos, plus the pairs are complete with bespoke LQQK branding.
‘When we designed this shoe, we wanted a printed pattern to be the main focus,’ says LQQK Studio founder Alex Dondero. ‘We didn’t want to make a white shoe that doesn’t push the envelope. That’s how we came up with this wild printed pattern shoe... The Printer’s Shoe!’
From September 16 to 19, LQQK Studio will host a pop-up at 109 Montrose Ave, Brooklyn, where the ‘Bubble Gum’ pair can be exclusively purchased along with other promo apparel. The ‘Wild Brown’ pair will release on September 21 from Reebok and select stockists.
