Lightning Strikes the Nike Air Max 90
Lightning has struck the , with official pics emerging of a rendition that features high-voltage Swooshes. The lightning bolt Swooshes land on the sides, tongues and insoles but, oddly, they’re not necessarily the most obvious feature of the release. The vibrant colour scheme of ‘Aquamarine’, ‘Lime Glow’, ‘Off Noir’ and white is quite interesting in its own right, while there’s also an interesting material mix, with tumbled leather overlays providing an eye-catching finish over the top of the more familiar mesh.
It’s another strong delivery of the Air Max 90 into the beginning of 2021, as the silhouette continues the strong momentum of its 30th anniversary last year. Over the course of those 31 years, the AM90 has built a rock-solid reputation as an essential Swoosh model. It’s so good that one of Sneaker Freaker’s writers thinks it’s the best design to ever come out of Beaverton.
