The Labrum and adidas Superstar 'Africa Day' Carries the Spirit of Heritage

Continuing their ongoing partnership, and – a London-based brand rooted in celebrating African heritage through design and storytelling – have dropped a next-level colab.
It arrives in the form of the iconic Superstar, crafted to honour Africa Day with a fresh take on identity, culture and creative expression. Celebrated every May 25, Africa Day unites diverse communities in recognition of the continent’s enduring spirit, resilience and influence.
The limited-edition 'Africa Day' Superstar reinterprets the silhouette's rubber shell toe with premium, full-grain, aniline leather and features the preppy Freizeit sole, crafted by adidas.
A homage to tradition, the collaboration also showcases blanket-stitched stripes in Pan-African flag colours on the lateral side, and tonal black on the medial. In a savvy merge of culture and contemporary design, the tongue is detailed with a decorative cross-stitch and debossed Nomoli emblem – a little human-like figure which brings good health and plentiful harvests.
