Kyrie Mixes Three Signatures to Create 'What the Kyrie'

What The KyrieWhat The Kyrie

The first game of the NBA season was pretty intense: it was first game as a Celtic against his former team, the Cavaliers. Kyrie was booed as he stepped into Quicken Loans Arena and, to ease his nerves, the point guard showed himself some on-foot self love.

Irving completed his warm-up in a hybrid model that borrowed elements from all three of his signature shoes. It combines the jagged sole unit and textured heel of the , the upper ankle strap of the , and the toe unit of the . The model's been named 'What the Kyrie', and it's a way more outrageous mix-up than the mild release we saw last year.

Considering Irving's only 25, it's pretty impressive that he's already released three iterations of his signature. And while the model surely gave him some pre-game confidence, his rough shooting run in his first game as a Celtic failed to impress the game's analysts.

'What the Kyrie' is currently a PE, but we'll be sure to let you know if this Boston blend ever makes it way onto the market.
